My guest in this episode is David Toupin. David is co-founder of Obsidian Capital, an Austin Texas based real estate investment company. David started investing at the age of 20 in Michigan where he bought his first property in college, a 12 unit apartment complex using money that he had raised from investors. By the age of 24 years old, David had built a real estate empire with over $40M in real estate holdings and has raised nearly $10M in capital. Obsidian Capital has a current pipeline of $20M of new development projects and is on track to have over $100M in holdings in the next 12 months. Obsidian Capital is currently focused on buying existing multifamily properties, growing their development arm, and building their new corporate headquarters in Austin, TX.
