My guest today is Jim Sheils. Together with his best friend, Brian Scrone, Jim co-founded Jax Investments, a multi-million dollar business venture. Currently Jim and Brian have completed many real estate deals and now teach their techniques at events all over the world. Jim credits their incredible success to two key things: starting out slow, and most importantly, finding the right “been-there, done-that” mentor.

The mentors that really made the difference for Jim and Brian were investors from Australia who loved to surf and invited them to join their “board meetings”. These meetings, held during surfing trips, brought in an element of fun to the stereotypical boring meetings and inspired Jim and Brian to found The Board Meeting Strategy for entrepreneurs and their families.
